New Website Launched

We are pleased to announce the launch of our new Website! It may seem an obvious thing to announce given that you are here and reading this, but nonetheless here at Parkside we are proud of being able to showcase more of what we can do for our customers so you can see what a difference we as a supplier can be to you.

The backbone of the website is our much improved Products section. Within here you can find just about everything we carry, in every shape, size and grade (the sheer scale of what we have available even took us back a little once we started to list it down too!).

As well as the enhanced products section, there is now a wealth of information available within a few clicks, from downloading account forms and stock lists to finding directions on where to find us.

We hope you like the clean, fresh look of the new website as much as we do. We are grateful to our colleagues over at the Web Development department of our sister company Prolog for their efforts and assistance in its creation. Over the next few months we hope to add more useful content into the site, so please stay tuned as we continue to develop it.

New Warehouse Extension

Parkside Steel are pleased to announce that we have commenced work on extending our warehouse by adding an additional 800m² of storage space onto our Central Distribution Facility at Sherwood Park, Nottingham.

The extra space will allow Parkside to stock up to a further 1000 tonnes of material, which will nearly double our stockholding capacity. Predominantly geared at extending our range of Black Carbon & Alloy Steels, this is further proof that Parkside Steel remains the foremost stockist of Engineering Steels in the UK.

Jack Audley, Purchasing Manager says “We have a product range stocked under one roof that is second to none. The new warehouse extension allows us to build upon our already formidable stock range so we can offer customers everything they need from one source”.

Scheduled for completion in April/May 2015, please watch out for further announcements this year as we continue to expand our product range further

New Vehicles Added to Fleet

In response to a continued increase in demand for our products nationwide, we at Parkside are pleased to announce that we have added another 2 vehicles to our fleet

An additional 7.5 tonne vehicle has been added to the fleet operating out of Sudbury, predominately to service increased demand on the East Anglia region.

An additional 1.5 tonne pick-up has been added to the Sherwood fleet, primarily to help service some of the more distant customers at the edges of the region. With its small size and unrestricted speed (compared to a HGV) it also allows us greater flexibility to assist customers in the region who may have time-critical delivery requirements.

Both these purchases further illustrate Parkside Steel’s number one priority: ensuring the customer gets the best possible service from any stockholder in the UK.

Our combined fleet now includes 1 x 25 tonne Artic, 1 x 18 tonne rigid, 11 x 7.5 tonne rigids, and 1 x 1.5 tonne pick-up. With such an array at our disposal, you can be sure we have the capability to deliver whatever you want, whenever you need it.

The future of cutting has arrived!

Parkside Steel are pleased to announce that we have now installed a brand new, state-of the art Tsune TK5C-160GL Automatic Carbide Sawing Machine at our Central Distribution Facility in Nottingham. This saw represents a quantum leap in technological terms over traditional bandsaws and gives us increased capacity to service our customer’s needs:

Vastly improved cutting speeds and accuracy
Fully automatic bar loading
Size range Ø30mm through Ø180mm
Suitable for high volume production runs
